Elizabeth is married to Jimmy Chin, a professional rock climber, a photographer, NY Times bestselling author, and a film director. 

They have unmatched chemistry, which has drawn attention from all over the globe. Their connections began when they met in 2012 at a conference held in Tahoe.

During this conference, Jimmy Chin made a presentation on the exploration of the Meru. The two would later have brief chatter whose focus would quickly shift to filming the course Jimmy took in the event. 

Afterward, Jimmy would send the footage to Elizabeth, after which they devoted their energy to the production of their chief documentary as a team.

The activity was particularly significant since they would soon develop a romantic connection. They married on 26th May 2013 after dating for a short while.
